I borrowed some inspiration from CMK's lilybean for this card - I just love her cards!
I found these papers from Paper Salon at a place near here - and they were just perfect for this project. I added a Heidi Swapp label, and some jute cord (unknown maker)

This second one for my Father in law was lifted from my Stampinup rep. Karen:
MFS has a
challenge going on to give a tribute for Father's Day - here's mine:
My dad has been gone for 17 years now. When I was first married, we moved about 2hrs north of here - hubby had a really good government job, and life seemed full of promise. My dad worked in SLC, which was only an hour from us, and once in a while he would come up after work - just him, and stay over with us.
After we had been married for about a year, we learned that we were expecting our firt baby. I started feeling so homesick - I never got to know my grandparents because they had lived in another state all my life, and I didn't want that for my kids!
We discussed it a lot, and decided that we wanted our family to grow up close to our families. (Hubby's parents live in the same town as mine.) So we moved home.
Hubby had to take a job with less pay, so life wasn't as comfortable as it might have been - but we have never regretted that decision.
My dad was pretty strict growing up, but after he retired he changed - he mellowed and softened. He was such a fun grandpa for our kids! I feel so blessed to have these memories, because we got to know him in a way that none of my other siblings did.
Happy Father's day dad.
