August DT Card Reveal

Ta Da! LOL! Hope they're not too disappointing!
This month's sponsor at MFS is Imagination Project.
I used thier papers and chipboard accents, in addition to that are Making Memories rubons & rinestones, Sandylion flowers, and Heidi Swapp ribbons. Also Stampinup butterfly with wire antenae, and a few little quickutz accents.
I used Lucy's sketches too - look for them on her sketch blog.
Thanks for looking!

I had this card in mind for a card challenge a few weeks ago - even sketched it out, but somehow it never got made, but here it is rather late, as is usual for me...

Sketch Challenge

Yvonne posted a sketch challenge over at Scrapbook Doodles - here's my take on her sketch:

I rarely use this much pink on anything, but this subject almost demands it! LOL!
Hope it's not too much!
...Also played around with my 6x9 album - I want to fill it with some of my favorite family photos - here's one of my hubby on Father's day with our grandaughter Millie. She is such a grandpa's girl!

Ever tried...

...these 6 x 12 layouts? I did this one from a sketch by Lucy Chesna - they are super quick and fun, just have to find an album this size now!

New Basic Grey Layout

I love this photo of my daughter! It was taken by her friend one day when they had a sleepover and colored each other's hair. I love the deep rich colors and the soft lighting. She did an awesome job!

I've been looking for just the perfect papers to accent it, and I finally ran across these Basic Grey ones that were just what I was looking for!
...I used the new Infuse line with Stella Ruby "Coffee and Desert" for the background.
The flowers are Bazzill and Prima with a Making Memories brad in the center.
I lifted the layout idea from the back of Apr. 07's CK (I think it's an ad for CTMH) Loved the design, though I simplified it a little.

Lilybean's challenge...

I shouldn't have done this again, but I did...Lilybean's card challenge.
Since there are so many July birthdays in my family - how could I resist?
(Please don't mind all the clutter in the background...)
This one was a real challenge - she wanted the color red, a food item, a star and some bling. Not easy to combine into one card (at least for me...rolling eyes.)
Just for fun here's my birthday list for this month:
Me - the 1st
my dad - the 3rd
a brother in law - the 4th
a nephew - the 5th
my daughter - the 7th
a sister in law - the 13th
and antother sister in law - the 17th
my daughter in law's father - the 24th

Whew!

Ooops! I forgot to mention - I used a Di Hickman sketch for this card!

My Secret Revealed....

I can finally spill the beans! Remember this? (my post here from June 13)
www.scrapworthy-arts.blogspot.com/2007/06/i-have-secret.html
(BTW, the card in that post was from one of Lucy's July sketches too.)
Lucy Chesna has asked me to join the design team at Memories From Scrap as the card designer for her Sponsors!
I am so excited and honored by this - hoping I can do a great job for her!
Her sponsor this month is Transparent Touches and Tags.
I had fun playing with these transparencies. The card designs were from sketches by Lucy.
