Bring it on!

My house really needs attention today, but I had to squeeze this little layout in because the deadline on this challenge is today by 5. So, here you go Libby - this one's for you!

(The challenge was just to do a 6x12 layout.) I used some Basic Grey 6x6 (Recess)papers, which are perfect for this, and a Making Memories "Noteworthy" sheet. The sticker letters are Basic Grey too.
My son & daughter in law on our family get-away last year at this time. We all went hiking in Snow Canyon, and they found some caves and had to check them out...

Play date

I worked my little hiney off yesterday, so by golly, I'm going to play today!
I'm working on some of the Monthly challenges at Scrapbook Doodles today, this first one was an ad challenge:

I used Prima papers (and the little circle accents) from their baby girl collection, and ribbon from American Crafts, the word "Precious" is a Heidi Swapp silhouette.

The Classics....

I just got some of Making Memories 5th Avenue collection and had to play with it a bit today. I just love black & white - it can look really formal, or really funky - it's all in how you use it. I think it's obvious which way I chose to go this time...

Just a simple quickutz flourish and some Stampinup ribbon was all this one needed. I think I'll make a bunch of these to use for wedding cards.

Hello........ is anyone there?

This place has been pretty abandoned lately - so sorry about that!
Life has taken a few strange twists and turns, and I've been living in my own little "Twilight Zone" these days. Can't promise it will get any better soon, all I can do is try.....
Meanwhile, my oldest grand-daughter had a birthday yesterday!
She is 6 this year, and is the cutest smartest little thing you ever saw! No - really, I'm not exaggerating! (hee hee)...anyway, I love her to pieces, so no pre-made cards for her!
Admittedly, this one is not the best card I've ever done, but it's certainly the best I've done in a while...(meaning - it's the only one I've done in a while! LOL!) I used Cherry Arte, and American Crafts papers & stickers, and a KI Memories gel greeting thingy (that's the technical term...) The folder card base is by Rob & Bob.
Now I'm going to go wrap some gifts.....
Thanks for dropping by!

A Brief Intermission....

I've been awfully lazy here lately and haven't done much to post, so for your half-time entertainment, let me show you some of my son's artwork. He is an art major at college, and these are some of his projects.
This first image is actually two paintings pictured side by side - you can see the dividing line there in the center...

This is a very large painting of some electronic stuff with which he has always been obsessed...

And the piggy bank which he is breaking to go to school...Ha ha! I'm told this one is also very large - I have yet to see some of these in person...

Next time, maybe I can convince his wife to let me post some of her things - she is quite crafty and makes some awesome mini albums etc.
Until then, we return you to your regularly scheduled program....

3 Little Girls

Just a quick little layout that I did yesterday...
My dad had a little tune that he would sing whenever he saw my sisters and I together - He would sing "3 little girls" to the tune of "Three Little Words".
Now that we have baby Ellie in the family, I think of that tune every time I see the three of them together.

Love this picture from baby's blessing day. The papers are Cosmo Cricket's "Hey Sugar" line (I used the back sides), the buttons are Basic Grey 2 Scoops. An All My Memories number sticker, and some generic rub-ons from Walmart.

Love is in the air....

I can finally post these cards - they are currently appearing in Ready Set Create's Valentine/St. Patrick's Day/Easter edition.
(Ooops - I just notice I posted this top one earlier...Oh well!)

I had fun making these with Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6x6 papers. I added some Heidi Swapp ghost shapes, ribbon, Prima flower (with Stickles center) Making Memories rub-on, and Melissa Frances glitter chipboard (heart)
