Stamp Club

I love my stamp club. I've been going for 8 years now, which is exactly twice as long as I thought (I had to count my catalogs LOL) ...I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!
I've been with pretty much the same ladies through the years - they are great gals, and always make me laugh.
Karen is such a cute lady, and she always has such fun cards for us to make.

This is the one we did last night:

I know I'm going to have to give this up someday, because I absolutely do not need one more set of rubber stamps!
...But that will be a really sad day. I always look forward to it, almost like the start of a new school year.
Yup.

Officially done...

With flowers - I just hand delivered the last piece.
I had to re-do the bridal bouquet last night, because I wasn't happy with it, but it's done and we can move on with life now.

I've been doing the "Day in the Life" challenge over at Scrapbook Doodles. They do one layout a month on the everyday joys in life.

I'm consistently a month behind, but hey - at least I'm still in the game! I like this, because when I'm done, I'll have a complete album of memories from the entire year.
February's layout had to be a 2 pager so I could include some memorabilia.
Last month was all about dream fulfilment, and going to this concert was a big part of that for me.
I finished a major project that I had worked on for almost a year, and the music from this band was a large part of my inspiration for that.
I went for a walk and was pondering that, when I decided the very next time they came to town, I would go see them to show my gratitude.
When I got home, just for fun, I looked up their tour schedule on the Internet, and guess what? They were coming the very next week!!! Was that meant to be or what?
So, I ordered tickets, and had the time of my life!
Anyway, here's the layout - sorry my photos aren't better....

I haven't done the journaling yet, because I like to do it on the computer, and it takes some time to get it set up just right to go between the lines of the tag, but I'll get there - I promise...

Almost done...

With wedding flowers - whew! ...can't wait!
All that's left is the bridal bouquet.
Hoping beyond hope that I don't mess it up - I would hate to be to blame for messing up all the wedding photos!

I attended the Scrapbook USA Expo in SLC last weekend. My daughter in law and her fun sister took me. It's become a bit of a tradition and we had a great time - I came back with some fun new toys that have inspired me (and are begging me) to get back into the game...
I actually took a break to scrap yesterday! I will post photos as soon as I have time to do the journaling, and soon I'll have the latest card from Lucy's March sketch as well, but for now - back to finish that bouquet...

Have a great day!

I've been so neglectful.

Lynn from Memories from the Attic very generously gave me a blog award, (Thank you Lynn!) ...and I have all but abandoned the blog for weeks now.
My excuse? I've been on a reading binge for the last few weeks, and now I'm up to my eyeballs in flowers for a niece's wedding. I finished the boutonnieres today - tomorrow, coursages and flower girl wreaths.

I give you exhibit A:

Hopefully, I'll be done in a week's time (I don't want to be assembling flowers on the way to the wedding!)...and life will be back to normal.

Meanwhile, I'll be looking around for other bloggers to share my good fortune with.

The rules are...1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 10 blogs.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.

New Kits at Memories from the Attic

Memories from the Attic has added some fun new kits to their store this year.
Instead of just a monthly kit, they will be featuring a card kit, a Book of Me Kit, a Bio kit, and a project kit. My friend Jamie, who is on the design team at MFTA asked if I would help with the January project kit.
It is a Maya Road tin card organizer. The papers are from 7Gypsies - I love the antique look of these! I added my own chipboard swirl, bling flower centers, rub-ons, and silver cord - everything else that you see is included in the kit!

New Sketches

I found a new Sketch web site that is just starting up. It's called Card Patterns. They will be featuring weekly card sketches - this will be fun to watch!
Here's my take on their maiden sketch:

Thanks for peeking!

Refurbished

It's been a while since I mixed things up around here, so I thought some redecorating was in order. You know what they say - A change is as good as a rest, or something like that...
Hope you like the new look!

This past week was my Stampinup card exchange. I put this one together for my contribution. All supplies used are Stampinup (of course!)

It's time for CHA Winter - I love this time of year, because everyone is releasing new lines all at once. It's fun visiting all the different manufacturer's blogs and getting to see sneak peeks of it all!
A few favorites so far? (Click on the name to see the peeks)

Melissa Frances
Basic Grey (I like the Wisteria and Bittersweet lines, as well as the embellishments)
Making Memories
Queen & Co.
...and Prima

If I see anything else that I fall in love with, I'll let you know! :)
